This recipe does taste good but can't stand up to Blis; it is just not nearly as smooth or balanced. It is cheaper and easier to aquire on short notice, and it requires you to keep a bottle of Maker's Mark on hand. That's always a good thing.

Bourbon Maple Syrup
.25 cup good boubon, I use Maker's Mark
1 cup real maple syrup
- Boil bourbon and burn off alcohol.
- Add maple syrup, simmer gently for a few minutes.
- Remove from heat, serve warm.
